Other DJs work in decade blocks; twenty-five minutes of disco, then twenty-five minutes of hip-hop. We mix Kool & the Gang with Bruno Mars as long as it matches, so the sixteen-year-old cousin and the seventy-five-year-old aunt dance at the same time.
